Sophos claimed eight awards in August so far.

Sophos executives are making waves this summer as the awards roll in. August has been a big month highlighting the success and influence of Sophos executives and success of our products, taking home prestigious hours right out of the gate.

On August 1, ChannelPro unveiled its 2021 Readers’ Choice Award. Sophos products were named to four categories, including best endpoint security vendor, best EDR/XDR vendor – a category in which Sophos ranked as a gold winner – as well as best managed security services provider and best network security vendor.

ChannelPro readers voted Sophos Intercept X with XDRSophos Managed Threat Response and Sophos Rapid Response as the most SMB- and partner-friendly channel solutions and services.

Following close on the heels of the Readers’ Choice winners, CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, announced its Top 100 Executives on August 2. This annual event is broken up into four categories: 25 Most Influential Executives, Top 25 Channel Sales Leaders, Top 25 Innovators, and Top 25 Disruptors.

Sophos is no stranger to this annual list, in which Sophos CEO Kris Hagerman is featured for the sixth time among the Most Influential Executives, and Senior Vice President Kendra Krause makes her fifth appearance on the list as part of the Top Channel Sales Leaders group.

“We’re in the midst of a global ransomware crisis, and the role of channel partners in protecting organizations from these crippling attacks has never been more urgent or critical,” said Hagerman. “Ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) groups like  REvil and DarkSide, which were behind the notorious Kaseya and Colonial Pipeline attacks, are making it easier than ever for novice cybercriminals to get their hands on off-the-shelf, ready-to-use ransomware kits. They’re raising the stakes, and Sophos research shows that ransomware recovery costs have more than doubled in the last year. The only way to fight back is with powerful and effective cybersecurity, and Sophos is fully committed to arming partners with true best-in-class, enterprise-grade security solutions and services to stop even the most nefarious adversaries before they cause damage.”

The honors didn’t slow down from there, though – on August 9, Christina Nairn, Director, Americas Regional Marketing, and Alexis Mervin, Director, Channel Sales, Southeastern Region, were named to the Channel Futures DE&I 101 list. This list recognizes individuals from diverse and multicultural backgrounds who are driving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the technology channel through their words, actions, and leadership.

Stay tuned for further announcements and success stories, and congratulations to all of the Sophos leaders for well-earned success in these recent awards.
